What I had in mind was, that wizards could store dice (numbers) in items and use them instead of the dice rolled, which, of course, seems very much like the re-roll you suggest. But I'd like to keep what's rolled active, even if a wizards gets alternatives. Maybe especially because? Mostly because the local effect of summoning/gathering magic is as important as what a wizard decides to do with it ...Jens D.https://www.blogger.com/profile/18394303166081684904noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6617677799085549365.post-19539640031498731982016-01-18T00:43:18.906+01:002016-01-18T00:43:18.906+01:00Focus item allows the re-roll of 1 die?Focus item allows the re-roll of 1 die?Markhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12793781986788315513noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6617677799085549365.post-10192825883357258722016-01-15T18:41:33.761+01:002016-01-15T18:41:33.761+01:00Events of world shattering consequence aren't ...Events of world shattering consequence aren't planned until the third expansion. Character reads 5 dice in the morning, takes what he thinks best and works with it as his level and his Aether Pool allows. It'll be interesting to think about local effects in this one. Maybe local wizards get the advantage of storing dice and are able to influence, for instance, the local weather (like Saruman in the LotR movies) and make life harder for the players (forcing saves on them). Either way, if someone uses magic, it'll have a ripple effect in the system and the story at the table ... We will have that wizard duel, we talked about, soon :)Jens D.https://www.blogger.com/profile/18394303166081684904noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6617677799085549365.post-69317244836742941272016-01-15T13:39:03.287+01:002016-01-15T13:39:03.287+01:00It all sounds very cool.
